about the program
The CHID Berlin Program is sponsored by the Comparative History of Ideas Department at the University of Washington. 20 undergraduate students will attend the program, held on-site in Berlin, with readings and seminars in English. The program will explore the city as the site of multiple histories and memories by looking at the urban landscape as a type of media. Students will create their own media projects based on their experiences, as they live in Berlin and take short trips to Weimar, Dresden, Leipzig, Wittenberg and Potsdam.
The program takes place during Fall quarter 2011.
